Hi all, My 2007 Audi A6 recently came up with a code relating to the fuel pressure regulator. So what makes you certain it's the regulator?
Differences in Location of Fuel Pressure Regulators. Fuel pressures and fuel pressure regulators differ for each vehicle. The place where the fuel pressure regulator is located is not the same for every vehicle either. Use your auto manual to identify the location of your regulator.
Once fuel has passed the high pressure fuel pump, it will run through a fuel pressure regulator, fuel rail or fuel injector line, and finally through fuel injectors. Most gasoline vehicles do not use the high pressure fuel pump, and will simply route pressurized fuel through a fuel pressure regulator, fuel rail, and fuel injector(s).
The Diaphragm Pressure Regulator (DPR) is actually its correct nomenclature Fuel under pressure is fed to the FD via this line. Fuel Injection system have variable pressure based · Registered. 1983 380sec/4.2, '86 300e, '74 BMW 2002, '94 Mustang Cobra (10psi KB), '08 Volvo S60, '10 Volvo C30R.
Jun 05, 2013 · Yikes well that stinks! To be honest, in not 100% sure. If I turn the key on, and wait for the fuel pump to turn on and pressurize the system it starts right up though. I'm thinking I'm going to hold off on the regulator for now. It's part of the spider, so I'll just wait till the spider goes an ill change both at the same time.
The fuel injection system is intended to provide the engine with better and more economic performance under all operating conditions, providing a more accurate fuel dosage with faster response. It adjusts the pressure in the entire fuel line, from the outlet of the pump to the injection nozzles.
engineer76. As far as I know, the fuel pressure is "regulated" thru the fuel pressure sensor, which sits directly on the drivers side fuel rail. It has an 2 wire electric connector. This is only the sensor and gives the PCM the information on the actual fuel pressure.
